What are you doing in this role?

Outbound Operations SupervisorwillPlan and coordinate shift activities for fulfillment center activities to ensure adherence to all DC procedures and documentation set forth by the Best Practices Council. Assist Operations Manager in planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to insure efficiency and accuracy for all outbound related activities.

Job Duties& Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all shift personnel receive proper training, skill development, and assessment per company guidelines.

  • Recommend and implement improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of employees for increased shift contribution.

  • Implement specific objectives and performance measures through OPM's for all shift personnel to maximize productivity.

  • Execute the statistical sampling program set forth by our Quality Assurance group.

  • Supervise fulfillment special projects as needed.

  • Achieve and maintain compliance with company and federally mandated regulations regarding safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT.

  • Ensure execution of daily operations within the department.

  • Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees.

  • Compile production and personnel statistics into spreadsheets or databases.

  • Reinforce policy and procedure compliance.

  • Coordinating with other departments within the company.

  • Solve/respond to production problems.

  • Show initiative and make suggestions for improving processes.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

  • Must possess visual acuity to read labels, RF scanners and to maneuver throughout facility

  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions

  • Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds

  • Must be able to climb stairs

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products

  • Most facilities are climate controlled
