Enterprise Operations - System Engineer - IVR
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Developing applications using Java/VXML/Avaya OD (orchestration designer) with IVR development experience with Avaya Experience Portal, Nuance ,Speech and Natural language. • Design, develop and implement new features, components, and services from specifications employing Java-based technologies with little direct supervision. • Participate in requirements analysis and development planning activities. • Taking complete ownership of problem and assist in resolving testing and production issues when they arise. • Produce detailed and accurate documentation relating to assigned tasks when necessary. • Promote highly-collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with all levels of product development staff and third-party development teams. • Responsible for technical quality and on time delivery • Must be open to work on Java/J2ee platform programming using other tools, technologies and platform.
QUALIFICATIONS: • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms and software design and architecture • 5+ Experience in IVR Application (DTMF / Speech Recognition) development and maintenance using Avaya Dialog Designer/Avaya Orchestration Designer and Avaya Experience Portal • 5+ years solid experience programming Core Java, JSP, Servlets and J2EE technologies. • Solid grasp of software development lifecycle best-practices, methods, and conventions, including but not limited to Agile Development, Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, Domain Driven Design, and Dependency Management.
REQUIRED SKILLS: • Strong understanding of end to end IVR application development cycle using Avaya AD with strong experience in Speech grammar development + NLU is added advantage. • Strong exposure and experience in IVR Call Flow design/VUI design capabilities very good experience in core java and web service implementations. • Must have working knowledge Avaya CM, Session Manager, AES, and AEP. • Strong knowledge on OOPS concepts • Strong experience in Java, J2EE programming • Strong experience on deploying applications in Application Servers like Tomcat ( optional - Web Logic, Web sphere , Mule) • Working knowledge on SSML, CCXML, GRXML / GSL, VXML • Experience in developing unit test cases, Unit and Integration testing • Experience with POSTGRESQL, MS SQL or any DBMS (ORACLE , MySQL, Sybase, DB2) • Experience in Linux and Windows environments including application and server management and scripting • Good knowledge of XML, XSD, JSOSN and Web Service Technologies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
PREFFERED: • Experience in IVR Application development using OD and Avaya experience portal implementation and support • Experience with Java, J2EE programming with webservices on other standard platforms. • Demonstrated knowledge of Avaya Call Center Elite, Communication Manager, One-X Agent, CMS, CMS Supervisor • Familiarity with industry standard call recording platforms, IVR solutions, WFM (NICE, Verint, Aspect) will be plus • Familiarity with Engagement Designer, Workforce Optimization, Avaya Breeze and Contact Center Components like Switches, IVR Server, App Server, CTI Server, and Database . • Strong understanding of supporting and troubleshooting complex, global VOIP deployments including SBCs, SIP trunking and multiple carriers. • Experience in Telecom or Ecommerce domain a huge plus • Agile development experience
