  • Perform regular inspections of the workspace(s) to identify areas/items/equipment/materials in need of repair, replacement or upgrade.Report any unusual or problematic conditions immediately to the facility manager with as much pertinent information as possible along with specific recommended actions.

  • Perform and oversee preventative maintenance program for all building systems and equipment.

  • Generates maintenance requests, distributes work orders and closes out work orders as required.

  • Performs maintenance tasks including light electrical systems, HVAC filter changes, checks of major equipment including, but not limited to central plant HVAC systems, lighting, emergency power systems, building controls, elevators, fire suppression, and plumbing systems.

  • Manage and supervise outside contractors, consultants and resources to perform all major maintenance and repairs related to the major equipment in the facility.

  • Respond to building and equipment alarms and situations.Act as a conduit of information for upper management and communicate with key personnel in emergency situations, power or other building service disruptions.

  • Responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of such statistical data as may be required to provide accurate and current assessment of facility management objectives.

  • Ensure that all site-specific documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time, including (and as applicable): Property Information Book, Site Operating Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual, Local Code Compliance Log, ADA Compliance Log, OSHA Log, Safety Meeting Log, Elevator Logs, Janitorial Log, Purchase Order Log, Vendor Certificates of Insurance, As-built Drawings, Paid Invoices File, General Files, Contract Files, Annual Property Conditions and Year-end Performance Report, and other reports and documentation as required.

  • Train and become knowledgeable about all building systems and equipment in regard to their proper operations, maintenance, and repair.

  • Assist with internal moves; provide oversight for all furniture configurations, maintenance, and repairs as needed.

  • Oversee large conference room set up and take down.

  • Develop and maintain facility operation, maintenance and cleaning procedures.

  • Take an active role in site employee Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.


  • Trade or technical degree preferred.

  • CFM, FMA industry certifications recommended; other engineering, business or technical training or certifications a plus.

  • 5 years commercial, campus environment, and/or property portfolio management experience.

  • Breadth of experience in construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management preferred.

  • 5 years of vendor management preferred

  • 3 years of supervisory preferred

Required Skills:

  • Experience with critical system environments is desired.

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.

  • Strong computer and systems knowledge (BMS, CMMS, CAFM, etc.).

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and work at heights 10-35 feet plus working on roofs.

  • Excellent customer service skills; must possess a “can do” attitude.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.

  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
