Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Automation Products and Services, this position will be a key contributor to the corporate Fulfillment Technology team. This position will be responsible for implementing and supporting key Fulfillment and Engineering Technology initiatives for the organization, with particular emphasis on Warehouse Control/Automation Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Voice Picking, and Put-to-Light (PTL) solutions.

The individual in this position must be competent to work independently at the highest level on all phases of business process design and analysis, and must also possess technical acumen. The position will regularly work under deadlines with heavy workloads and high organizational visibility.

The successful candidate will bring a solid background of both business/ functional and systems implementation/ project management experience in supply chain technology, preferably in the fulfillment or engineering function. The individual must be comfortable managing relationships and change within a fast paced and constantly evolving environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years’ significant systems implementation or support experience in direct to consumer or retail business to business fulfillment operations working with warehouse/ engineering technologies.

  • Working under leadership from the Fulfillment Technology and Corporate Engineering teams, serve as a key resource in the design, implementation and rollout of Radial’s future strategic automation and engineering based solutions including:

  • WCS – Warehouse Control Systems

  • PTL – Put-to-Light

  • Voice Picking

  • Android based RF devices

  • RFID processing

  • WES – Warehouse Execution Systems

  • Serve as a key resource in the planning and execution efforts associated with standardizing Radial’s current WCS/ PTL MHE technologies across the north American Fulfillment network.

  • Develop secondary responsibilities with assisting in design/ testing/ support of all automation/ engineering integrations in partnership with warehouse management resources.

  • Work/ collaborate with field based Fulfillment Technology resources as needed to share knowledge/ formalize documentation for supported automation/ engineering applications.

  • Contribute to the Fulfillment Technology and Corporate Engineering teams in the definition and design of continual enhancement requests across the suite of supported applications.

  • Represent the Fulfillment Technology Organization in cross-functional planning/ design meetings as delegated by the Sr. Manager of Automation Products and Services.

  • In partnership with key vendors, provide key end-user support for in-scope applications.

  • Deep understanding of application modification/ enhancement specification process, both writing & reviewing.

  • Strong business acumen; particularly in order fulfillment, inventory control, productivity management, & transportation.

  • Basic understanding of SQL in an Oracle database environment.

  • Must be logical, analytical, and detail orientated.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to travel as needed to support fulfillment center based projects (up to 30%).

  • Ability to work off hours and weekends as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience designing/ managing integrations to MHE applications (e.g. conveyors, tilt-tray sorters, Put-to-Light, Pick-to-Light).

  • Prior implementation experience with Matthews Automation ‘Pyramid’ integrations.

  • Prior experience integrating Manhattan Associates WMS into automation/ engineering applications.

  • Prior professional services (consulting) implementation experience in the supply chain area.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence/ Reporting Tools.
